friendship braclets!!!

do you remember friendship bracelets?!

i ran into these at Noir Jewelry, and

i think they are so cool!!

much cooler than the ones i made at camp

each summer!

* on a side note...jury duty went like this.
i sat there for 3 hours.
they shared with us who was involved.
witness, police officers, etc.
i had my turn to speak.
i shared with the judge that i had a boat load of
children, and i knew one of the witness's.
that was it!
after 3 hours,... i was FREE!!!

i want one!!

they made my day!

i hurt my knee

doing this

it was amazing..the class..not the knee injury.
 my knee is now swollen and it's cramping my

workout regimen!
my day now consist of,.. icing it, staying off of it, and taking advil.
this is almost..impossible with 4 kids.

so, yesterday i was so happy to receive 2 things...

that i love!

in the mail i received my

when you have kids every

holiday is a BIG deal!

so, of course the 4th of july

doesn't go unnoticed around here!
i'm so thankful for the country i live in and
the sacrifices that have been made for my
freedom!!

last but, not least
we eat A LOT!!

here is a delicious recipe for

tomato pesto salad

4 cups uncooked spiral pasta

1 cup fresh pesto

2 tbsp chopped green olives, or olive tapenade

1/4 cup pine nuts

1 cup frozen peas, defrosted (or fresh if you can get them)

12 ounces cherry tomatoes, halved

several fresh basil leaves, coarsely chopped

1 Tbsp olive oil

salt and pepper

1 cook pasta according to instructions on the package. make sure the water is salted (at least a half teaspoon per quart). remove pasta from heat and strain when pasta is cooked, but still firm (al dente).
2 put pasta in a big bowl. mix in fresh basil pesto, green olives, and pine nuts. gently mix in cherry tomatoes, peas, fresh basil leaves and olive oil. salt and pepper to taste. chill or serve at room temperature.

2 years ago.

it was a waste paper basket

for my bathroom.

on monday i ran into a round mirror.

i'm going to put the mirror in the kids
bathroom.

this is exactly what my mirror looks like!
